Marie Sedor

Birth Date: July 16, 1921
Death Date: September 21, 2018

Marie Sedor, 97, 0f Westlake, peacefully passed away on September 21, 2018.

She was born in Slovakia, the daughter of the late John and Mary (nee Hrinciar) Chombor.   Marie was the beloved wife of John who predeceased her on October 18, 2010; loving mother of Judy Sedor (Theresa Crough), John Sedor (Michael Mann) and Susan (Michael) Hyla; cherished grandmother of Michael and Matthew Hyla; dear sister of the late John Chombor; beloved cousin and friend of John Sidor (Marie, deceased).

Marie was truly a remarkable woman. She enjoyed life to the fullest and certainly knew how to have a good time. There wasn’t much she didn’t know how to do and if she didn’t know how, she learned and taught herself.   Gardening, crafting, volunteering, playing cards, traveling and enjoying the sun were just a few things she enjoyed. She was an amazing cook who made everything from scratch and love for every meal and holidays. But by far her favorite thing to do was read! She was an avid reader, whether it was the daily paper, magazines or books of which she always had around and found such joy in even until the day she fell ill.

Her family couldn’t have asked for a better mother, grandmother and role model who was extremely loved and had one hell of a fantastic 97 yr old life!

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 11AM – 1PM in the Sunset Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Monday at 1PM.  She will be laid to rest with her husband John at Sunset Memorial Park with private committal services.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or The City Mission.
