Elaine E. Grywalski

Elaine E. Grywalski (nee Deutschlander), 72, of Russell Twp., formerly of North Olmsted, passed away on October 7, 2018.

She was born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late John and Helmine (nee Wasch) Deutschlander.  Elaine was the beloved wife of Andrew who predeceased her on August 23, 2002; loving mother of Carla (Scott) Stachiw; cherished grandmother of Alayna, Seraphina and Matilda Stachiw; dear sister of the late John and Ronald Deutschlander and cousin of many.

Elaine retired from the Cuyahoga Department of Human Services following 30 years of employment as the Director of Research and Reporting.   She enjoyed traveling with Andy going across the country and on cruises and with her family all throughout Europe.   Elaine found solace in gardening, swimming and playing the piano.  She was currently the Secretary for P.E.R.I.  She mostly cherished the time spent with her family and the many memories created with her granddaughters.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 12PM-2PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where memorial services will commence at 2PM.   Committal services to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.   Memorials may be made to North Coast Boxer Rescue at

    We are so so sorry for the loss of your mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and our dear aunt and sister-in-law. It is absolutely tragic- the loss of such a wonderful, caring, generous, being.
