Roger “Fred” Hedberg

Roger “Fred” Hedberg, 75, of North Olmsted, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on October 2, 2018.
He was born in Cleveland, the son of the late Alfred R. and Dorothy A. (nee Zimmerman) Hedberg. He met Brenda Fagan and they became united on July 18, 1964 and have celebrated 54 years of memories. Together they raised their daughter Sheri (James) Fink and shared in the joy of their grandchildren, Taylor and Antonia Fink. He is the brother of Robert Hedberg and brother-in-law of Kevin Fagan and Patricia (Richard) Schultz and uncle of Pamela and Melanie.
He retired in sales from UGL and worked part=time as a medical records courier for Fairview General Hospital. An avid fisherman, he had a home business called Bass Fish America providing fishing lures, t-shirts and jackets to those that appreciated the sport as much as he. He and his son-in-law James went fishing every Saturday for the past 27 years. Roger was a supporter of Cleveland sports and was die-hard Cavs fan. He stayed fit by going to The West Shore Family YMCA every week.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 4PM-8PM at the Sunset Chapel in Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Tuesday at 2PM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to UH Seidman Cancer Center 11100Euclid Ave. Cleveland 44106.
