  1. David and I met Liz in like 2001 or so when Chad and Rene first became friends (they must have been 5th or 6th grade). Those kids developed a great friendship and participated in many of the same school activities and especially loved band. Liz certainly knew her way around the bandroom and was not only very good at volunteering, but also at recruiting! So as two of her recruits, we had the honor of working along side her through many, many events. We socialized outside of band a bit and enjoyed sharing stories and the catching up on the latest happenings with the kids and finding out the lastest of Beth's achievements.

Over the years Chad became just like another child in our family. We didn't mind–he was a good child to have. We tried our best to always be there for Chad and his family and took great comfort knowing that Liz and Jim were there for Rene and us, as well.

We know Liz as a caring, empowered, passionate and civic-minded woman, offering assistance whenever needed. It has been a comfort and reassurance having both her and Jim in our lives.

Our hearts are deeply saddened for the loss her friends and family are working through. At the same time though, we are oddly full of happiness for Liz; only because we are certain that she has been greeted by and is in the loving arms of those that have passed before her and have been patiently waiting for her. We take much comfort in those thoughts. We love her and her family and are here anytime for anything they may need.
