Douglas M. Michalske, 75, of Strongsville, passed away April 20, 2017.
He was born in Cleveland, the son of the late Melvin and Florence (nee Kloboucnik) Michalske. Douglas is the beloved husband of Georgia (nee Baltas); devoted father of Danielle Michalske and Matt (Denise); cherished grampa of Kiersten and Theodore Michalske; dear brother of Dale (Linda), Donna (Mike) Zatezalo and Dean (Linda) and brother-in-law of Jim (Judi) Baltas and Peter (Donna) Baltas; loving uncle and cousin of many.
Douglas graduated from R.I.T. and was a member of the Printing Fraternity and played hockey while attending there. His love of sports continued as a referee for the Cleveland Football Officials and over 30 years at Cleveland State as a time keeper for men’s and women’s basketball. Douglas carried on the family tradition and became the 3rd generation owner of Michalske Printing on Clark Avenue in Cleveland. He also taught printing at Tri-C for many years.
Visitation Friday, April 28, 2017 from 4-6PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Friday at 6PM.
