Beautiful - Dignified - Affordable

In the 1950s, a challenge was presented to the cemetery industry:
"Combine the beauty of a garden with the dignity of mausoleum
entombment at a price everyone can afford".
|
The answer was the Lawn Crypt. Site selection and construction must incorporate
specific drainage features.
After excavation of an entire section, the area is laced with drain tile and
covered with a layer of wash gravel.
Companion and individual vented crypts are then placed on the gravel foundation.
The companion crypts are designed as one unit to hold two caskets, one casket
resting above the other.

After all crypts are in place, the entire area is again covered
with wash gravel filling the spaces between the crypts and covering the top.
The entire area is then covered with a layer of soil to allow for
the growth of grass. These subterranean vented crypts provide clean and dry
chambers for future entombment.

Special bronze memorials are usually provided for lawn crypt gardens and there
is no need for the separate burial vaults that are required with standard
graves.
When needed, the opening of a lawn crypt also creates considerable less land
disturbance then opening a grave.
Although Lawn Crypts provide superior arrangements to standard graves, they are
usually less costly and provide the best economical choice for two people.
