Many people choose to be cremated for their final journey. It is a process by which intense heat is applied to reduce the body to bone fragments. Contrary to popular belief, cremation offers a number of options for funeral and memorialization services. With a bit of pre-planning, you and your family members can decide the ceremonies that you would like to perform before and after the cremation.

We offer a wide variety of options, ranging from direct cremations to cremations with memorial services and traditional full services. Depending on the wishes of the deceased, or their family members, the services are designed to meet individual needs and honor the memory of a loved one.

Direct Cremation

A direct cremation is one without any attendant rites or ceremonies. We take care of the transportation of the deceased to the crematory (within 25 mile radius), arrange for authorizations and the crematory fee (includes temporary container for the cremated remains).

If you wish to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative/pre-cremation container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The alternative/pre-cremation container we provide is corrugated fiber. Direct cremations can be facilitated:

• With container provided by the purchaser.
• With alternative/pre-cremation container.
• With casket selected/purchased from our funeral home (in addition to cost of casket).

Direct Cremation With Memorial Service

Professional services include staff assistance, transfer of the deceased to the funeral home (within 25 mile radius), obtaining necessary authorizations, preparation of newspaper notice, alternative/pre-cremation container and crematory fee (includes temporary container for the cremated remains).

Cremation With Traditional Full Service

All the above mentioned services would apply for this package. In addition, one afternoon and one evening viewing/visitation with next day ceremony are also included. We also offer families the option of:

• Purchasing a casket from our funeral home.
• Renting a solid wood casket and alternative/pre-cremation container.

Services provided do not include State of Ohio sales tax on merchandise, State Permit Fee, or any service or merchandise that is not specifically listed. Additional services and/or merchandise may be added at the costs specified on the itemized General Price List.
